Check the scope of the problem
Determine whether one device, a group of devices or the whole office is affected. If possible, compare Wi-Fi with a wired connection to narrow down the cause.
Check the basics
Confirm the device is connected to the intended business network and check signal strength, power, cables and recent network changes. Avoid repeatedly changing settings without recording what was changed.
Look for patterns
Note the location, time and frequency of disconnects. Recurring dead zones or problems at specific times can help identify coverage, interference or capacity issues.
When to request IT support
If multiple business devices are affected, the network repeatedly drops connections or changes are needed to routers/access points, document the symptoms and request IT support.
